BRIDGE Guitar Festival Eindhoven, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven (2023)
BRIDGE Guitar Festival is the international guitar festival in Eindhoven. As the largest and most diverse guitar festival in the Benelux, it connects genres, cultures and communities, and puts the guitar as the world's most played instrument in the spotlight. In the last weekend of May, Eindhoven is transformed into a paradise for guitar lovers. The festival is unique in its kind: from classical to blues, from jazz to rock, from flamenco to pop, everything is covered.
Breda Jazz Festival, Breda (1971)
The Breda Jazz Festival has been an annual four-day jazz event in Breda city center since 1971. It is one of the oldest and most famous jazz festivals in the Netherlands. It is held on Ascension Day, the Friday and the following weekend and admission is free. Approximately 250,000 visitors come annually.
The Breda Jazz Festival features traditional jazz styles and related music genres such as blues, zydeco, cajun, Western Swing and jump-'n-jive.
There are several stages where bands play, especially around the Havermarkt and on the Kerkplein, the Grote Markt Breda, Veemarktstraat, the pontoon at Spanjaardsgat and 't Sas.
Bikkelblues, Vlierden (2023)
A festival with a mission; The blues tells a story.
Every line of the blues has a meaning. The blues echoes straight through soul, R&B and hip hop. It is part of the composition of modern music. You cannot turn your back on the blues.
The blues are the roots and the other music is the fruits. It is better to keep the roots alive, because it means better fruits from now on.
The Bikkelblues festival, which started in 2023, will be held in Zaal Thijssen in Vlierden during the third weekend of September.
Bluesroute Helmond, Helmond centrum Helmond
Bluesroute Helmond is an annual, three-day blues festival in Helmond. The first edition took place in 2011. It is one of the biggest free blues festivals in the Benelux. The event is usually held in the last 'full' weekend of October and is therefore the last event of the festival year. Almost all performances take place in theaters, cafés and pop venues, so the weather has little influence on the festival.
