Voertaal van de vocalen is Surinaams (Sranantongo) en Engels, de muzikale stijl is een mix van Jimi Hendrix en Living Colour.

The EBC format is a 3–day event (Thu-Sat). There will be two semi-finals, Thursday & Friday, respectively, followed by a grand finale on Saturday with the top 4 ranked acts from each semi-final. That is, 8 acts performing to raise the EBC trophy on the Saturday evening.
